The beauty of nature can have an amazing effect upon our senses, allowing us to experience incredible pathways from the outer world to the inner; uplifting our spirits and bringing us tremendous joy. Experiencing beauty with our hearts helps to lead us to our Higher Selves, ‘the wise being within, an accumulation of all our positive characteristics.’

Please try this simple visual exercise to uplift your spirits for a positive, balanced outlook on life.

Choose one of the nature scenes below and imagine/visualize yourself as part of that scene for 1 minute.  How do you feel after your positive nature experience? Remember to try this transformative exercise when you feel exhausted or irritated and see how quickly you can uplift yourself and deal with challenges in an optimistic, confident manner.

 

We can more easily access our Higher Selves when we take time to experience the transformative effect of nature’s beauty.  Whether we are walking the dog on a golden autumn afternoon, sit in the shade of a tree to read a novel, or spend time cultivating our garden on a warm summer day, nature has the power to center and ground us and appreciate the present moment.

Try to take time every day to look at nature, even if it is for only fifteen minutes, Be aware and see the beauty of nature around you.  If you live in a city and have very little nature around you, then buy flowers or a plant and sit and try to look at it without becoming distracted by your thoughts.  Appreciate the beauty of its form.
